Essential Duties | Responsibilities
Provides quality customer service to clients, caregivers, healthcare providers, physicians, and healthcare practices.
Assists in streamlining communication with the patient, insurance companies, pharmacist, nurses, lab and other healthcare-related parties.
Accurately enters and maintains patient profiles and medication records in the pharmacy software system.
Gathers and clarifies patient information.
Processes new and refill prescriptions.
Processes and submits insurance claims.
Counts pills according to the prescription.
Packages and labels prescriptions.
Coordinates pharmacist-verified filled orders into delivery groups.
Verifies delivery sheets and contents in delivery are the same.
Calls community individuals to arrange delivery and verify someone will be there to sign for the medication.
Ensures that the security and proper storage of drugs is maintained.
Keeps the work environment and equipment clean.
Performs all tasks in a safe manner that is consistent with corporate policies as well as state and federal laws.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
