Position Title: Accountant
FLSA Classification: Exempt; salaried
Pay Range: $55,000-$60,000 annually plus competitive benefits.
Spanish Bilingual differential: $1500 annually (as eligible) Position Type: Full-time; 40 hours per work week Work Schedule: Mon-Fri; 8:00a-4:30p with the ability to flex hours to accommodate business needs.

Loveland, CO 80538 Remote Eligibility: This position is expected to work onsite but may be allowed to work from home, on occasion, with department director approval after 90 days.

Achieve accounting objectives by contributing information from Accounts Payable and Receivables.
Complete month-end activities and prepare financial reports.
Handle bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
Assist with payroll processing for accurate employee payments.
Participate in budget preparation and variance analysis.
Identify financial trends to support data-driven decision-making.
Conduct regular internal audits for financial compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for process improvement.
Provide guidance on accounting policies to other departments.
Implement financial software and tools.
Safeguard sensitive financial information and maintain confidentiality.

Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accountancy; minimum qualifications: Associate degree with at least 5 years of experience.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication abilities with diverse stakeholders, including staff, donors, volunteers, and vendors.
Experience in overseeing capital expenditures.
Experience managing cash budgets of approximately $8 million and overseeing $18 million of annual donated inventory activity.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING REQUIREMENTS: Successful completion of all pre-screening requirements.
LANGUAGE SKILLS & ABILITY: Proficiency in English required, bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Experience with Inventory Management, Project Management systems, Microsoft Navision 2009, and Blackbaud CRM is preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no direct reports, is responsible for the coordination of volunteers, and must be able to collaborate effectively across locations with various department staff members.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Primarily works in an office located within a warehouse.
